ntfs-3g-dev software package provides read/write NTFS driver for FUSE (development), you can install in your Ubuntu 14.04 LTS (Trusty Tahr) by running the commands given below on the terminal,
$ sudo apt-get update $ sudo apt-get install ntfs-3g-dev
ntfs-3g-dev is installed in your system.
Make ensure the ntfs-3g-dev package were installed using the commands given below,
$ sudo dpkg-query -l | grep ntfs-3g-dev *
You will get with ntfs-3g-dev package name, version, architecture and description in a table
